Cristy attended Rockford East High School, graduating in the class of Cristy bowled many years when she was younger, and even won 2nd place IHSA state her freshman year, and 1st place her sophomore year. Cristy was a self-pay specialist for many years. On March 1,Cristy married the love of her life, Reginald Jones. She was loved by so many- her smile, her laughter would light up a room. She was the life of the party and was the hype girl at every event. The love Cristy had for her family is unmeasurable.
There was not a family gathering, birthday, or holiday she would miss. She loved making sure that everyone enjoyed themselves and felt loved. She loved to shop for any and everything from prom dresses for her nieces, to toys and outfits for her grandkids. She also loved to travel, anytime or anywhere. She was always up for an adventure or shenanigans. Her love for life will live forever on in her family and friends. Michael "Mike" L. Anderson, 61, of Loves Park, Illinois, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, June 20,after a short battle with cancer. Julie was accompanied by her husband, Steven Joliff for a blissful 29 years. In their 18 years of marriage, they welcomed their children Spencer and Christopher. Julie had a special zest for life with her loving personality. She loved music, and often dived deep into new artists she explored. Going back to her roots in music, she had a special appreciation and love for Led Zeppelin, the Grateful Dead, and Journey. Julie was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce. Jay married his best friend and wife of 22 years, Ashley Meier. Jay as was full of life and energy. His love of animals was beyond measure, just ask the skunk he caught on foot and brought into his bedroom. There was not a single video game that Jay could not master, and it carried into adulthood. He loved playing football for Win-Du-Pec.
He spent a lot of time fishing with Grandpa Lyman and his brother-in-law Tory. He cherished his numerous little road trips with his dad and his backyard time with his father-in-law Troy. Jay was an avid disc golfer and was often found at Porter Park with his Wolf Pack. He enjoyed going out morel mushroom hunting with his girls and family.
Jay had many jobs over the years, but his two favorites were his carpet and repo professions. His greatest job of all, by choice, was raising his four children. He was the best Daddy ever. He was the funniest person around and treated his friends as family.
Jay would move mountains for loved ones in times of need and stand by them through the heaviest obstacles. He will forever live through his children and in our dearest memories.
